That “safe space” for learners is so important, especially for those quieter learners who may have a lot to offer, but who lack confidence to do so. I like how you use sticky notes to make it feel “safer”. It reminded me of a student who was so afraid to share her ideas because she hated attention drawn to herself. She was aware of this as she mentioned this in one of her self-reflections, and her goal was to try to become involved in class discussions. I found that using Showbie’s virtual group discussion feature was her “safe place”, as she was happy to share her ideas and interact with her peers more freely by adding written comments and receiving feedback from them. It was hard to believe that it was the same student.
